As we enter the fall season, we will be closing out this year in style with our 2018 Annual Luncheon and Election of Officers.
The event will be on Saturday October 27 from 11:30 am to 2 pm at the Sheraton Hotel McKinney located at 1900 Gateway Boulevard in McKinney, Texas.
This year we are featuring a special speaker, Rosalind (Roz) Gaither.
Roz, a native Texan, has had a lifelong passion for sewing and learned to sew from her Mother and Grandmother. At the age of four, she was making Barbie doll clothes and having neighborhood fashion shows. She improved her sewing skills in Home Economic classes in middle school and high school. She continued her education majoring in Clothing and Textiles and earned a degree in 1984 from the University of Texas in Austin. After graduation, she became a manager for Palais Royal and produced many of their in-store fashion shows. In 1987, she started her own business, Sew Much Fabric selling designer fashion fabrics, providing custom dressmaking and teaching sewing classes. Today, Sew Much Fabric is an online business selling designer fashion fabrics and notions. Rosalind believes that it is time to “pay it forward” by helping the next generation of fashion designers achieve their dreams.

In this year’s election, there are two very important positions that have to be filled in our Chapter: President and First Vice-President. We are so thankful for the leadership from our outgoing President Sheryl Belson and First Vice President Mary Jo Forbes. We also want to thank all of our leadership! Their dedication is truly appreciated.
