Just a reminder that our Annual Luncheon and Election of Officers is Saturday, October 27th, 11:30-3:00pm.
Please join us for a fantastic lunch served family style in the Venucci room at Maggiano’s, Willow Bend.
Guest Speaker will be Shirley Cunningham talking to us about Fabric and Fibers as Art.
Shirley Cunningham – native Texan, artist, author, designer, lecturer and fit expert, traveled the country teaching her pattern alteration method “For the Fit of It”. Shirley creates beautiful textiles through Wearable Art and Tapestries.
You can see pictures of some of her fabulous creations on her website www.ShirlC.com. She will present many of her “Artful Fashions” at our luncheon with a Trunk Show that you do not want to miss.
To continue this theme, please bring clothing, quilts, wall hangings, anything you have that showcases “Fabric or Fibers as Art” for Show & Tell. Of course you are also welcome to bring any other show & tell items that you would like to share.
At the luncheon we will also have our Election of Officers and annual “Garage Sale”.
Please bring any sewing related items you would like to donate. Please label fabrics with content and yardage. Items will be sold for $5 per bag.
