On January 20, 15 Plano ASG members spent time with Maris Olsen, president of the Seattle ASG chapter, for a great day of learning shirt making techniques. When shopping and you fall in love with a fabric but you are not exactly sure what you will create. Here is a general guideline that several of our members use when buying fabric for misses sizing (especially for coordinates) : 3 yards for 1 garment; 5 yards for 2 garments and 7 yards for 3 garments.… Read the rest
You are welcome to work on your own projects, but here are the projects we will be teaching for January and the supply lists. Note, cutting and pressing stations will be provided. All of the January projects will keep you warm and can be made quickly!
For hat – 1/2 yard polar fleece (note this will make 2 hats)
For the reversible cowl – 3/8 yard of polar fleece two different colors/prints or you can use 2 ready made scarves – check thrift shops or dollar store for bargains

Summer Camp for Plano ASG Junior Students (ages 8 (or if you turn 8 this summer) – 17) . The Plano guild is offering a TAG sewing camp the week of July 6-10. There will not be a regular TAG meeting on Saturday July 11th.
