Designing Divas Amazing Trip to the Arlington Museum of Art to see Walt Disney Archives: Heroes & Villains and All That Glitters on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. What an amazing visit. Original costumes and accessories on display from Disney movies of past and present. The ladies were able to look up close at the many costumes and decipher how they were created. From Cinderella to Mulan to Little Red Riding Hood to Peter Pan to many, many more costumes, each was unique to its character. Each costume had explanations from the designer about how it created the costume and what transpired to create. Then in other rooms we saw the accessories. From jeweled crowns to necklaces to watches to rings. All were on display. Never again will the ladies watch a movie and not transpire their visions to the costumes and try to understand why and how they are created.
If you haven’t been to the exhibit, it is well worth the drive. The exhibit is on display through March 23, 2025. Then afterwards, of course, how about going to Texas Live or Loews Hotel for something special to celebrate. The ladies had lunch at the Loews Hotel at Cut & Bourbon. Salads, sandwiches, soups were all delicious.
