Marty Anderson, one of our members, has a special deal for hand embroidery lovers:
I’m so excited to announce that Susan O’Connor, an international embroidery instructor from Australia is coming to Texas. Many of you know her from the Country Bumpkin publications “Inspirations” and “Australian Smocking”.
She will be teaching at the SAGA convention in Frisco in October. She has graciously agreed to stay after the convention for a few days and teach those of us who missed out on her classes (they sold out in 30 minutes on the first day).
I have attached pictures of the two classes she will be teaching.
October 28th and 29th will be a two day Elizabethan mirror frame (see image on right). This project can be made into a mirror or made into a frame. It can also become a panel with a small flower added to the middle.
Her second project is the Cornflower and Strawberry Pinwheel (see image on right). That will be a one day class.
The classes will be at my home. I live in Parker, Texas which is near the Plano/Allen area off I75 between George Bush and 121.
I have a large area with lots of daylight and can accommodate up to 12.
The classes are $70 a day plus the cost of the kit. Lunch will be included.
