January Update

Community Sew is making baby bibs for Hope’s Door, a non-profit who offers intervention and prevention services to families affected by family violence.  In2025, Community Sew is donating baby bibs. Three of us worked on them at the retreat. Although we will switch to another project in March, providing bibs to Hope’s Door is a year-long project.  So if you need a simple project and have a yen to make a baby bib, you can donate a bib or cute baby material any time to Jane Dempsey (jeld81@sbcglobal.net).

In-Town Retreat
The Chapter’s In-Town Retreat was held on January 17-19 at the Best Little Retreat Center in Dallas. We had an excellent turnout and everyone had fun getting together to do our favorite sewing projects. Here are some photos of the event.

We have an exciting activity planned for Designing Divas this month. Jami Roux is going to help us draft a carryall for our fashion drafting supplies. Jami is so gifted at leading us. I know each of us will create our own perfect pattern for a carryall to have for our meetings.

Bring your fashion sewing supplies*

I’m sure there will be lots of show and tells to share. Plus, bring anything that needs fitting.
